Karl Patrick Wilfred M. Suyat has been a campus journalist and writer for almost seven years, and a political activist for three years. Currently, he sits as a provincial coordinator of the College Editors’ Guild of the Philippines, a member of the Institute for Nationalist Studies, and a contributor for a host of publications. Suyat was the former editor-in-chief of The Michaelean Herald (2018), former editorial section head of Fiat Publication (2019), and a recipient of the Milagros L. Limaco Award for Journalism (2019). He has also scored numerous awards in journalistic and writing stints, such as the third spot in the 2018 National Rizal Youth Leadership Institute (NRYLI)’s essay-writing category and the first place in the editorial-writing category of this year’s Camilo Osias Arts Festival (CAMAF).
